What is the first step in buying a home?

Getting pre-approved for a loan is the first step in the buying process. This helps narrow the search in what you're looking for & also gives you an idea of how much your lender will require you to put down and explains your closing costs.

What credit score do I need to buy a home?

Most lenders require a 620 credit score. A higher credit score typically ensures a lower down payment and a better interest rate.

How are your apartment locating services free?

I am compensated by the management of your apartment complex for helping you into your new place. With my locating services, I will send you options based on your questionnaire, but I can not bypass their criteria to get you in.

Are you able to get me into a place if I select one of the options on the Free Apartment Locating questionnaire in the Background History section (eviction, misdemeanor, broken lease, felony)?

Unfortunately, I am not equipped with the services to do so.

I have a pretty low credit score. Can I get an apartment?

Possibly. If you select 500> on the Free Apartment Locating questionnaire, attaining a co-signer or roommate would be the best option. Also, I would refer you to a credit repair company that I have partnered with. I recommend all of my clients to credit repair if they fear it will cause an issue in getting them into their new place. Although some don't feel that it is necessary to get an apartment, I think about the long term needs of my clients. If you would want to buy a home in the future, having your credit in tip top shape puts you in a better position.
